Lady Elliot Island

It was a coral beach.

Cam about to go snorkeling

so we went to this itty bitty little island off the coast of Australia called Lady Elliot Island aka LEI. WOW!!!
Cam and Rick managed to have the experiences of a life time getting in 6 great barrier reef dives involving hundreds of beautiful tropical fish, colorful and amazing reef and coral, Moray Eels, turtles that want their back (shells) scratched and turtle the size of a vehicle follow them around, sea snakes (YUCK), Manta rays, Sting rays (no Cam didnt get stung), Cod that weighed about 120 kgs and more sharks than I think people should see in a life time. They met up with nurse sharks, white tip sharks, black tip sharks, silver tip sharks.... i believe thats all the different types they saw. They were circled by sharks, arms length from many types of sharks and during a snorkeling experience on our last day at the island Cam had an experience with a shark that I'm sure no one would want to have. Its a story you'll have to ask Cam or Rick about but Cam was white as a ghost for several hours after. The ocean is an amazing world of its own and I am so glad (even with the sharks) that divers get to be apart of this world and that Rick and Cam had these experiences together.
Sharon and I did alot of walking, exploring, sun tanning, reef walks, drinking either James Boags or coffee and reading. We all had a great time. we had 4 nights/5 days there and then flew back to Australia's mainland in what was the worlds smallest plane and then drove to a place called Montville on the Sunshine Coast for a night of relaxation and seclusion. its was AMAZING this place we stayed. You know Australia for Cam and I has its ups and downs but when it comes to it environment this country is bloody beautiful and something worth seeing.

There are more pictures of the journey on my Facebook if you would like to see more.
