My roots

well I have just had the most amazing experience so far in my life. And Cam says the same. We have just returned from Norfolk Island. Its a tiny (only 5x8kms) island off the coast of Oz, closer to New Zealand. Bout 2.5 hour flight from brisbane.
Now why would we go to this island?? Well for anyone who really knows me, who I am, my skin colour and appearance and where I come from has always been HUGE questions and parts of my life. Well Norfolk was my first step into finding out some answers to questions I have always had. Here's some history for you.
Most people know about the H.M.S Bounty or most know it by The Muitny on the Bounty. Well I m a direct descendent of John Adams (who went under the name Alexander Smith, which is a whole other story in itself....ha!!) who was one of the seamen that took mutiny over this ship. Anyway the reason they mutinied was because they had been in Tahiti and there the men had fallin in love with the Tahitian women. 2 of the men (Fletcher Christian and John Adams) had married and their wives were pregnant when they left Tahiti to continue their journey to the West Indies. BUT of course the men wanted to go back so they held a mutiny took over the ship and turned around and went back for their women.
Now they were smart enough to know they couldnt stay in tahiti cause they would come looking for them. So they took their wives, 12 tahitian women, 6 tahitian men and feld. Long story short they ended up in Pitcairn Island. where they stayed for many years until the island which is also extremely tiny was becoming to over populated and the left and arrived in Norfolk Island on June 8 1856. This date is known as Bounty Day or Anniversary Day. This is a large part of why Cam and I went over at this time so we could see and be apart of the day and celebrations.
How our trip unfolds I will have to write again tomorrow. its a long but awesome funny story I will share. But I am dead tired right now so dont feel up to wirting tonight. Until tomorrow......

Near death experience...

Tonight I had the horrible experience of Oli choking on a treat and gaging..... HOLY CRAP!! He was choking and he couldnt get it out of his throat. He then started vomiting and vomiting and vomiting and still choking.....I was FREAKING OUT!! but the treat dislodged and came out. THANK GOD!! My heart is still pounding and I have the shakes. Scary stuff.... I couldnt imagine having kids.. I would be freaking out every 2 seconds.... and die of stress...

Whats important in life???

Is there anyone else out there that is getting really bloody sick and tired of people who seem to have a complaint or bitch about EVERYTHING and are so self centered they cant see past their own ass?
And the stuff is sooo stupid, selfish and irrelevant that you can not believe that people seriously have nothing better to do with their time and energy.
What the f#@$ is going on?? People freaking out about coffee, someone cutting them off or the fact that you had to go a different way with your boat cause someone parked on the street made it more difficult for you... forget the fact that there are wars happening, child abuse, starvation, victims of China with no homes... and all the other current suffers of natural disasters...... do I need to go on cause I sure as heck can.
Can we all please look outside our own world and start having some respect, love and compassion for each other.
Read a New Earth by Eckhart Tolle and all start loving each other... and no I have not become a major hippie living here.... just think the hippies may have had some things very right!!

Well I would say it has been years...yes seriously... years since I have gone on a drunken bender. We have just returned from this druken bender and I must say I am doing much much better than I thought I would be. Cam and I have just returned from Port Douglas where we attended the Tropical and Rainforest Carnival. We went with 2 friends Alison and Breanna. We spent 1 night in Cairns, 2 nights in Port Douglas and 1 night in Trinity Beach. We had sooooo much fun. Crazy, drunk fun and it felt good. Is that immature?? Who cares!!! We all had a blast, forgot about our stresses, got crazy and got to spend some great time with our 2 friends.

A big group of us went to Dreamworld on the Gold Coast. It was super fun. Althouhg now Cam and I are really missing Disneyland... the best and of course happiest place on earth. We definately have to get to Disneyland in the next while. Anyone want to come???

We went to my moms for the day to celebrate mommys. Had a great bbq and hung out. It was awesome to see my brother again as he has been roaming around Oz. And we always love seeing jake. Such a great kid and really smart as a whip. OF COURSE!! We're related!!

We have started to reach out to different places for Cam to get a job after grad. Really all around the world. But we have recently found one that is perfect for Cam and me. Well at this time in our lives..... and we're not sure about snow again but we'll take the good with the bad. We ask all our friends and family to put the positive energy out there for us and we'll keep you posted!!
