Lady Elliot Island

Shot along beach

Ricky about to hit the water

Family on turtle nesting safari at night

It was a coral beach.

The view from the main restaurant/cafe

Cam about to go snorkeling

so we went to this itty bitty little island off the coast of Australia called Lady Elliot Island aka LEI. WOW!!!
Cam and Rick managed to have the experiences of a life time getting in 6 great barrier reef dives involving hundreds of beautiful tropical fish, colorful and amazing reef and coral, Moray Eels, turtles that want their back (shells) scratched and turtle the size of a vehicle follow them around, sea snakes (YUCK), Manta rays, Sting rays (no Cam didnt get stung), Cod that weighed about 120 kgs and more sharks than I think people should see in a life time. They met up with nurse sharks, white tip sharks, black tip sharks, silver tip sharks.... i believe thats all the different types they saw. They were circled by sharks, arms length from many types of sharks and during a snorkeling experience on our last day at the island Cam had an experience with a shark that I'm sure no one would want to have. Its a story you'll have to ask Cam or Rick about but Cam was white as a ghost for several hours after. The ocean is an amazing world of its own and I am so glad (even with the sharks) that divers get to be apart of this world and that Rick and Cam had these experiences together.
Sharon and I did alot of walking, exploring, sun tanning, reef walks, drinking either James Boags or coffee and reading. We all had a great time. we had 4 nights/5 days there and then flew back to Australia's mainland in what was the worlds smallest plane and then drove to a place called Montville on the Sunshine Coast for a night of relaxation and seclusion. its was AMAZING this place we stayed. You know Australia for Cam and I has its ups and downs but when it comes to it environment this country is bloody beautiful and something worth seeing.

There are more pictures of the journey on my Facebook if you would like to see more.

Time Flies??????

Cam's parent, Rick and Sharon got here what seems like a blink ago and they are already leaving in less that 48 hours. What is with this theory "Time Flies"........
You hear it quite often, its either time flies when you are having fun or time flies when theres a deadline.... etc.
The saying "time flies" is said quite often and the funny thing is there is such truth in this saying. It has nearly been 3 weeks Rick and Sharon have been here and it honestly feels like not even 2 weeks has passed. And in this time we have done soooooo much that you would think it it would feel like its been longer. But it doesnt. Weird. Anyone with any theories or comments on this "time flies" business please let me know as it baffles me how true this bloody is in all aspects of life. Cam is graduating in Oct already. Graduating for petes sakes. 2 years come and gone. WHAT THE????
I just had my 32 birthday. What the hell happened there?? Its crazy.
If I can tell you one thing.... time sure does fly by so please live every moment with love, passion and gratitude. and thank you for being apart of my life.

Definition of Friendship

this seems to be an area that people have gotten bad at. What are friends???
Well here is a reminder for everyone who may need to be "refreshed" on their friendship abilities.

FRIENDSHIP
Friendship is the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring all right out just as they are, chaff and grain together, certain that a faithful friendly hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping and, with a breath of comfort, blow the rest away.

Obsessed

Oh my girdle!!!! I am fricken officially obsessed!! Like in the need for some sort of help. I LOVE 'One Tree Hill'. Yes I said it (the first step to recovery I'm told)... I LOVE (emphasis on the word love) One Tree Hill!
If I was a cheerleader this would be my inspiration of every cheer.
Give me an O.... Give me a N.... Give me an E.... well you get my point!
I have been watching the shows of Season 5 as they are being shown in the states and about an hour ago I finished the latest one and it is driving me CRAZY that I have to wait for the next episode. To the point that I have been researching online for the last hour to find out what happens in the up coming episodes cause I HAVE to know.....aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
And I know there are some of you out there saying to yourself what the hell is One Tree Hill??? And my answer is "THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!!" Along with Grey's Anatomy and Californication!! And on that note I must go now as I taped last nights Grey's Anatomy and I forgot and now I remember so now I must go and watch it!!
I need help I swear!!!

Scuba Steve...

Well today was Cam's first day in scuba dive classes and well I must say he hasnt stopped talking about it since he got back 3 hours ago.... yes thats right I have been a great wife, smiling, nodding, showing interest while hearing about diving in the pool and learning about........ well.... I obviously wasnt listening very well cause I cant tell you exactly what they did in the pool but all I know or care about is Cam had a fabulous time. He has 3 more days to go of classes. Tomorrow back in the pool. and sunday and monday he heads out to Julian Rocks dive park which he is really excited about.

Mother Nature at her best

Lee jumping off

Its hard to capture the whole water hole and both falls in one great shot. Here's the best I got.

This is the big falls and the highest spot to dive off.

So recently Shawn had some locals introduce him to Dalwood Falls. Of course since then we have all been there and have falling in love with this magic place. Not only is the cliff diving scary yet invigorating.... it amazing these falls are only bout 15 minute drive form our house in the opposite direction of the beach. Its not a public place with signs and a parking lot. You literally would have no idea it was there.
The falls, as we have nicknamed them, seems to be the place we want to go and chill and get away from anything. When we leave this place I really wish I could take these falls with me.
